Important Notes
Check-in Time
The standard check-in time is until 18:00. We may not be able to accommodate check-ins after this time, so please arrive with enough time.Check-in for Free Sites and Auto Sites starts at 11:00. Even if you arrive earlier, you cannot check in or reserve a spot, so please be aware of this.
Open Fire
Open fires are prohibited. Please use a fire pit at all times.
Noise
We ask that you refrain from holding parties or gatherings at our campsite. Also, please keep noise levels low after 22:00. During the day, please be considerate of other guests.
Pets
Pets must always be kept on a leash. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and managing any noise they make. Pets are strictly prohibited inside cottages or rental tents. For hygiene reasons, pets are also not allowed in the kitchen or shower areas.
Fireworks
Fireworks are allowed only if they are handheld, and only until 21:00. Large fireworks, such as rockets or firecrackers, and fireworks that may scatter debris are prohibited. Please ensure you properly extinguish and clean up after the fireworks.
Smoking
Please be considerate of others when smoking. Smoking is prohibited inside cottages and rental tents.
Motorboats
Motorboats are prohibited from launching or docking at our campsite.
Fishing
Fishing is not allowed on the premises of the campsite.
Water Activities
Our designated manager, Towadako Guidehouse Kai, offers canoe tours and other water activities. Reservations can be made through their website.

If you have your own canoe or kayak, you can launch them from our campsite. Please wear a life jacket/PFD when entering the lake.
If you wish to swim in the lake, please wear a life jacket. Towada Lake has sudden drops in depth, so swimming without a life jacket is dangerous. Life jackets are available for rent at the office, so please inquire if you need one.
Driving Vehicles on the Premises
Please drive slowly on the premises. Due to the terrain, vehicles with low ground clearance or large or wide vehicles may not be able to drive on some roads. Please be aware of this.
Water Facilities
There are cooking areas, toilets, and shower rooms available on the premises. The water at each cooking area is drinkable. There are two booths for both men and women in the shower rooms. We also have a coin laundry.
Waste and Ash Disposal
Please dispose of your trash at the designated bins in the cooking areas, and make sure to sort it properly. The caps and labels from plastic bottles should be disposed of as burnable waste. Any waste not specified should be taken with you when you leave.
Please dispose of cooled ash in the stoves at the cooking areas.
Cellular Network
Due to the natural environment, it may be difficult to receive a cellular signal throughout the campsite. There is free Wi-Fi at the management office and cottages, but it may not be available in many areas of the Free and Auto Sites.
Damage to Equipment, Furniture, or Rental Items
In the case of damage to campsite equipment, furniture, or rental items, we may require compensation based on the severity of the damage, regardless of whether it was intentional or accidental. Please handle all equipment and items with care.

We are not responsible for any accidents, thefts, or disputes between guests. All activities are at your own risk.
FAQs
Q: How do I make a reservation?
To reserve a campsite, please book one site per group. A simple process is as follows:
Select your desired plan → Select your preferred site → Choose the number of people and options → Enter reservation details → Complete reservation.
Q: How far in advance can I make a reservation?
You can reserve a site for any period shown in the reservation calendar. Generally, reservations are available up to 3 months in advance. For the latest information, please check our Instagram @utarube_campground.
Q: Can I choose a specific location in advance?
For Free Sites and Auto Sites, you can choose a spot upon arrival, based on availability. We do not accept specific requests for site locations in advance. Similarly, site requests for cottages cannot be accepted.
Q: Can I use a credit card or electronic money on-site?
In addition to cash, we accept credit cards and electronic money ( transportation cards, Quick Pay, ID, etc.), but we do not accept PayPay.
Q: What is the policy in case of bad weather?
Regarding cancellations due to bad weather, the normal cancellation policy will apply unless the following conditions occur:
- The campsite is closed due to the facility’s decision.
- Weather warnings or special warnings are issued by the Japan Meteorological Agency.
If a cancellation fee has already been charged and one of the above conditions occurs, no refund will be issued unless the cancellation policy is waived.
Q: Are there any electrical outlets available at the campsite?
There are no facilities with power outlets available in the free sites. If you wish to use electricity, please choose an auto site. Unauthorized use of power outlets within the campsite facilities is strictly prohibited.
Q: Is the tap water at the campground safe to drink?
Yes, the tap water at our campground is safe for drinking.

There are no supermarkets or convenience stores nearby, it takes about 1 hour to reach the nearest one. Please make sure to complete your shopping before arriving.
